How Previewer measures reader activity, remembers preferences, and supports the publication.
Previewer uses first-party measurement to understand aggregate page visits, reader journeys, shares, and product interest. With your analytics permission, a first-party identifier can recognize a returning browser; without it, measurement uses a temporary in-memory identifier that does not persist after the page session. We filter known automated traffic before using that activity in public popularity labels or reader counts. Public counts are rounded and hidden when activity is below a minimum threshold.
We may use first-party analytics, Google Analytics, PostHog, and Vercel Analytics to measure visits, devices, referrers, content performance, and site reliability. Cookies or local storage may remember a visitor, a short-lived session, newsletter status, and reader actions such as adding a product to a try list. Your try list is stored locally in your browser rather than attached to a Previewer account, and clearing this site’s browser data removes it.
Previewer may display clearly labeled advertisements sold directly by Previewer or served through Google Ad Manager and Google AdSense. Depending on your region and choices, Google may use cookies or similar technologies to provide personalized or non-personalized advertising, measure delivery, and prevent fraud. Where required, advertising and analytics choices are presented through Google's certified consent management platform.
We may measure ad requests, rendered ads, viewability, clicks, and advertiser-reported conversions. Browser delivery events are used for operational checks; finalized ad-server reports are used for Google-served campaign billing. Direct-ad clicks use a Previewer redirect that creates a unique click ID, which an advertiser may return with a conversion report. We filter known automated traffic and investigate material differences between systems.
Product and brand links may take you to third-party websites with their own privacy practices. Previewer may record that an outbound link was used and may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. See our affiliate disclosure for more information.
